Is it good for teeth to rinse with salt water?!
Question: Hi,
Is it good or bad for teech to rinse with salt water everyday? Someone told me it can help keep my mouth and teeth clean, while others say it might do bad to my teeth in the long run.
Which point is true? Should I keep this thing as a lifelong habit?

Salt is good. At the same, it is abrasive if you rub it in. Then it can harm.
It has nothing to do with bacteria as far as I know.
Salt cleanses. And is recommended by Dentist too. Just overdo it. It is not needed every day 12 months. Would suggest using a few days and giving it a rest.
Oh and my dentist said mouth washes are very harmful as they kill everything and may not be good for the palate either.

we used to use salt to brush our teeth if we run out of paste, I'm 77 and still have my teeth so it cant be all bad
well its good for anyone who has braces because it makes their mouth and stuff stronger...
not sure about how it may be in the long run though.. but i don't think it can do any harm lol
