Question: I just had my wisdom tooth pulled a couple of days ago. Now is it normal for the blood clot to form in the hole, or does the hole suppose to be completly shallow with nothing in it

The clot is a GOOD thing. If the hole was shallow with nothing in it, you would have what is called dry socket and that is a very painful thing. The clot is actually helping to heal the hole where your tooth was. Avoid sucking things through straws, smoking, and don't fuss with it.

I had a tooth pulled not too long ago and I formed a clot as well. It will go away. Your mouth needs to clot just as other areas of your body do to stop bleeding. It's kind of like an oral scab. I wouldn't worry.

The blood clot has to be there. If it is not there you will get a condition called dry socket which is painful. The clot means your system is healing the wound and will stop infections getting in.
