Retainers are definitely better i have braces and I am really wishing i had retainers so i could eat my favourite Lolly - faintails.
But i suppose if you need braces to help your teeth then just accept that. And look forward to eating the things that you like when it's all over.
I would definitely say that having braces now is worth straight teeth later.
Retainers would be better though.
Braces pain your mouth more when they put them in.
they especially hurt when you get them tightened. But it all depends on how your teeth can handle pain.
