Question:

If i couldnt brush my teeth, does using Cepacol fight cavities?

Answers:

No, I am a hygienist. It kills bacteria and NOT the type of bacteria that cause decay.
IF you cannot brush your teeth, can you hold a simple electric one. We recommend this to many arthritic patients. Secondly, you must use a toothpaste with fluoride in it to combat potential cavities. Lastly, you can rinse with ACT fluorirde rinse - get at Target, Walgreens, Etc. Listerine/Scope/etc do NOT have Fluoride which is the key ingrediant in stopping decay.
Cepacol is mostly alcohol based and will kill some bacteria associated with periodontal disease.
Try an Electric Tooth Brush - Sonicare and Oral-B Sonic work wonders for patients like you.
