My 6 year old just lost her premolar.?!

Question:

My 6 year old just lost her premolar.?

We saw the dentist four days ago for her routine cleaning. I mentioned her premolar seemed to wiggle and after an additional x-ray, the dentist said it would come out soon. I had no idea that "soon" would be 4 days later. My child has good teeth with no cavities. She has already lost her 8 front teeth and I had concern. Our dentist said as long as she isn't in pain and there is no sign of infection, not to worry. I am calling the dentist tomorrow but I think I need another opinion on this. Does anyone have any info? I need some reassurance that this while not completely "normal" it is not completely "abnormal or harmful". Thank you in advance, Desiree

Answers:

First it's not a premolar it's a molar just looks like a pre...Kids don't have them until they get there permanat teeth...But othere then that it's totally normal..Every child is different and if your dentist said it's okay then I would listen to him/her...Good Luck
