I have some questions about getting my wisdom teeth removed...?!

Question:

I have some questions about getting my wisdom teeth removed...?

My dentist took x rays of my teeth last week and she saw that my wisdom teeth had formed and were right under my gums but there were no roots formed. I'm 13 and she wants to get them removed this summer. I have just gotten my braces taken off (and I love my straight teeth!) so my dentist is concerned that if I wait for the teeth to come out naturally, it might mess up my straight teeth... I had several questions...
1. Would it be better to get all 4 teeth removed at once? Or would it be better to have 1 or 2 removed at a time?
2. If I were to get them removed at different dates, how long should I wait in between the days?
3. Is it better to have my teeth pulled out now when the roots aren't formed yet? Or should I wait until they are formed and then take them out when they are above my gums?
4. What is the procedure like? What do they do?

I have lot of questions and am extremely nervous... My mom told me that when she got hers out it hurt so bad. Please give me some help!

I am 14 and I got my wisdom teeth out 3 days before school started. The doctor said that I should get them out all at once but it might be a little more painful but it wouldn't last as long. I had to get mine out because they were blocking a molar.

The procedure is fine. They first gave me some laughing gas then gave my a shot of something to put me out. I remeber him talking to me then the next thing I knew I was walking up and it was all over. At first you can't feel or move your mouth (you start to drool a little). They said it might hurt some after but I didn't feel much that I can remeber but I was on a lot of meds. It was just fine especially since I got a lot of ice cream once it was over. The only thing is that for me it took me almost 4 hours to learn how to sollow.

I would get them out all at once. If doesn't hurt much at all. I would get the procedure early in the morning because you aren't allowed to eat anything before hand. (Just in case you throw up from the meds they don't want you to choke). But get it early because you will get really hungery.

I was very scared before I got mine out because the meds they give you to nock you out scare me because my mom is a lawyer and has heared all the bad storys of little kids dying. But you are old enough and big enough that you won't have a problem.

You will be just fine. You can wear your pjs to the office. I did. All you need to worry about is what soup and ice cream you want after. It will be just fine. Good luck!
