Are my teeth meant to have a line on them after braces fit on?!

Question: Hi
yesterday I got my braces and noticed that at the middle of each tooth, there is a vertical line (black colour). Is that meant to happen?
I brushed with toothpaste and this thing doesn't come off.
Anyone know what it is?

U dont worry. It is normal after braces fitting. It wont come off by brushing or by anything. For removing this, u dont try to brush forcefully, the braces will come out. May be that colour is due to the stain from the cement on which the braces fits. When remove the braces after treatment the stains will also come off.

Just a guess since I can't see your teeth, but maybe it's the bracket type they used or a black rubber band, or even the wire. I'm sure it's normal whatever it is. It wouldn't be the bonding or anything. Just ask your orthodontist the next time you see him/her.
