You will need a dentist to document any damage and needed treatment and how much it will cost. Contact the owner of the place and let them know what happened because they are probably going to need to contact their insurance company and file a claim. Hang on to the screw. You will most likely be dealing with a claims adjuster throughout the process, good luck.

yeah you could if you have any evidence that you just didn't put it in their yourself to try to get money.

yup.
as long as you have proof and pictures.

Have you talked to the restaurant where you got the salad? There insurance company may be willing to give you a settlement without you getting a lawyer.

most certainly. you can sue the restaurant. Hopefully you said something to the waitress so they are aware of the accident at the exact time it happened otherwise it might be difficult to prove it if the restaurant is not aware of what happened. If I were you, I would contact the manager as soon as possible and explain the situation and tell them you plan on going to the doctor for your jaw. they have to pay for any medical bills and if you have any problems with the manager you can call the police

Absolutely! go take em to court !!

I this happend recently, take pictures!!!! Either sue, or get a settlement. I feel so bad for you, biting down on a screw probably really hurt. : ( Definitel take action, don't let it go.
