Tooth implant?!

Question: Can anyone recommend a good place to get a dental implant done in Sydney. Also, what is the cost for a single implant, how long does it take and does it hurt??

Your regular dentist will have an oral surgeon do it most likely. He (the dentist) will tell you what you need to know. It's a process usually .takes 2 or 3 visits. If the tooth is in the front of your mouth you can get this little false tooth that takes up the space until the real one goes it. It doesn't hurt anymore that a normal dental procedure. They are going to put a metal thing into your jaw bone and then they will treat it like putting on a crown. It sounds worse than it is...trust me..been there- done that..I had the added problem of not enough bone structure where the implant had to go...so mine took forever while they kept putting some kind of stuff by the "post" to make the bone strong enough... Even that was no big deal...not to worry. Biggest thing is the price..somewhere around 2,000 dollars here where I am. Insurance will pay for part..and you dentist will let you pay so much a month. Good luck ...be glad that you can have your teeth taken care of! ?

ofcourse it hurts dear..

i donno price for sydney but its very expensive here in england for one tooth they charge 2000 pounds in private clinic.

i would prefer to go to india , you can have holiday and tooth implant both in that type of money..

Can't address the 'good place to find an oral surgeon in Sydney' but, here in the mid-west US., mine was $3500.00 for the implant work and another $1500.00 for the actual tooth (that's to be snapped on). It was fairly painless if you're used to getting dental work done. Compared to a root canal it was a piece of cake. It ( the bad tooth) will have to be pulled, then then they'll do the implant/graft, then that has to be allowed to heal over before he/she can insert the tooth. Then you'll have to go back to your own dentist to do an impression. So, all in all...... about six month. I' am ecstatic with mine but it is pricey. Hope this helps. ~bb
