Now they have laser dentistry that you barely have to have any numbing, the do digital xrays and the new Cerec3 machine that does all the crowns in office so no waiting to come back. Plus you no longer have to with that goo in your mouth that gags to make an impression. I suggest you find a dentist that has the Cerec3 machine. I guarantee your experience wil be so much better. It doesn't hurt at all to get on a crown.
If the tooth is just chipped they can foten bond it or build it up like a filling, This doesn't hurt at all. They fill it with some material like a filling and then put this light over it to cure it for a few seconds. Before long you are done.
Don't be scared. The only thing that hurts for a second it the shot they give you for numbing and if you have a dentist that does laser dentistry chances are you won't have to numb it.
