Ho long does it take before you stop feeling pain after a root cana?
Hi, I had a root canal done on monday 06/11, and it is 2 days later and my tooth feels af if someone punched me really hard in the mouth. The tooth hurts, it is one of my front teeth. Is this normal and when should I be concerned? I know I had a procedure done and that it will hurt for a few days, but how many days is too many? and how long after the procedure should i get it restored. My dentist told me to come back in 3-4 months. Is this normal or should I go back sooner. This is my first root canal so I am confused.

It took me three weeks so it really depends just try not to chew anything on the side that the root canal was done until the pain goes away,
Did they give you a prescription for pain use it if you can tolerate the pain it helps.
If it still does not go away with the medicine prescribed then go see you dentist right away! But it will go away as the days go by but make sure to go back to get it check on your appointment in three months.
