Is it cheaper to get teeth removed by a dentist or an oral surgeon?!

Question:

Is it cheaper to get teeth removed by a dentist or an oral surgeon?

So I just came back from my dentist. I have to get 4 teeth removed for my braces and all 4 of my wisdom teeth taken out as well (they've been giving me problems). My dentist said she could take out the 4 molars but she suggested I get all 8 taken out by the oral surgeon. What would you do? And which is cheaper?

Answers:

You have to go to an oral surgan for the wisdom and if you have long roots on your other teeth. The oral surgan is expensive, but since your getting the four wisdom you should get them all out there so the cost is worth it. You pay a main fee for going to a specialist plust the cost to numb you well and if you have them pull the other teeth it will only cost a little more since it is just adding on. It may be cheaper than your dentist to add on those teeth as you dentist might have a per tooth fee. Convience wise do the oral surgan. It will be expensive for both ways- But I reccomend asking your dentist their price to pull them. If it's cheaper and they're going to come out anyway then it's fine to have the dentist do it.
