Is there any way I can show what I will look like with braces?!

Question: I'm getting braces on, on the 25th of this month. I'm really nervous, and was wondering if anyone could give me tips/advice about them. Also, is there any type of website that I can use my face and somehow show me what I'll look like once my braces are put on?

lol there's no website sorry, but in my opinion, lots of people look realy cool in braces, just get some fun colours and you'll forget that you have chunks of metal under them :)
for some tips, what I did was get an electric toothbrush, and a special orthodontist brush (the brushing part has a little groove in the bristles in the middle where your brackets will be and around that is longer bristles to clean around them better)
you should get a waterpik, it's a little machine (30-50 dollars) you fill it up with water and turn it on, this jet of water (don't worry it doesn't hurt!) just like at the dentist sprays out and flosses and gets under the wires, and it's so much easier than using real floss and a threader (stiff plastic loop and tail that gets floss under the wires) and far more effective because it also cleans under your gums like a toothbrush cannot
your orthodontist should give you a little bristle-y christmas tree like thing also. use that to clean realy close to your brackets under the wires :)
braces aren't hard to have don't worry, they're realy easy, you just need to take a little extra time every day to clean your teeth (use the waterpik at night so you don't get late for school in the morning) and avoid sticky foods like toffee, gum, jellybeans and soft candy and hard chocolate bars (they'll snap a bracket easily) and if you eat brocoli or spinach or any leafy vegetable like that, brush your teeth ASAP after because they get stuck in your wires realy easily and it looks all nasty :P

EDIT
oh and when people say they hurt, they do not hurt unless you've never had spacers, if you've had spacers nothing will hurt ever again hehe, and if you didn't they'll hurt just a teeny bit, so take an advil right before the appointment
good luck with braces you'll love them, and keep them clean or else the plack builds up and will be stuck to your teeth once you get braces off (my ortho gave me a pic of well brushed teeth, and hardly brushed teeth *gag*)

nope but you'll look different, trust me...over time you'll get used to them and other people will too. braces hurt when you get them on but they hurt even worse when you get them off..but good luck

Sorry, no. The first time you see yourself with them on you'll probably hate the way you look. But over time you're going to get used to them, maybe even grow to like them. Advice is KEEP THEM CLEAN. Brush after every meal, doesn't matter if you're at school or on vacation.

Edit: Okay, I need to correct the other person... Braces do NOT hurt when they come off. It's uncomfortable, but it does not hurt. When they do hurt a bit, for a few days: after they put the wire in for the first time, when they change the wire and, (if you're getting them on top and bottom) when you have a new elastic arrangement. Don't worry, it's going to be fine. I know I was really nervous before I went to get them on, but it wasn't half as bad as I had been imagining.

i was nervous too, but i was late for my appointment so they couldn't put them in. :( they only put it one part of the braces, and i have to go in in another two weeks.

just show up on time, and when you get in, you'll realize it doesn't hurt, it's not weird having people in your mouth, and you can tell they've been doing it for years.

some girls are really cute with braces, ull look different for sure, but just remember your going to look great when they come off, and no theres no website where you can see how you will look with braces
