I got a filling by an army dentist who was prob like 27,, brand new.. anyways.. it looks like he just drilled?

and drilled until my tooth was like.. uh chopped up.. its been about 3 months and it still hurts when i eat cold or hot stuff on it.. even tap water hurts when i pull it through,, did he leave it exposed or is this normal? army docs and dentists = bad health care?

i am a dental assistant..my husband is in the army had the same thing happen to him..generally i dont want to say this but you are better of going to a civialian dentist(not an army dentist)age doen not have anything to do with it ..but experience does ..it seems that she left it exposed..that is why you have hot and cold sensitivity...im sorry you may need a root canal..not that bad i have 3 root canals..always ask for more novicaine if you feel anything.and get sweet air will make you relax more.i say dont go back to army dentist but if you must because of money issues say you need an x ray because you cant just say you need a root canal...in the x ray will show if you need a root canal..than discussed with that dentist how to go about it..but please do go to the dentist nobody should have to be in that pain....schedule an emergency appointment..call early in the morning and ask for a emergency appointment to get you out of pain...good luck and feel better:)
