Answers: does it hurt when they are getting removed...does it hurt afterward??

nope not really

i just had mine done. So no it does not hurt, you are asleep when they take them out. Than when you wake up, you are still on the drugs that they gave you. But they give you stuff to take and if you do what they say to do then it wont hurt after. Make SURE you clean them out because if you dont then they will get infected. and that would not be good. But i promise you it does not hurt.I was thinking the same thing when i was about ti get mine down.

you'll be so dopped up on the medicine they give you, you wont even remember ;)

It dosnt hurt like you think it will.

it hurts...if your a drama queen and wanna really play it up...LOL

Most of the peoples are forced to remove their wisdom tooth when they make any problem. Wisdom tooth removal will not hurt u bcoz the entire procedure is doin under anesthetia. After the procedure also the dentist will give u pain killer. so u dont feel any pain. During the procedure if u feel any pain dont hesitate to tell `doctor i have pain`. Take any pain killer before the procedure will help u (confirm u have no allergy to any drugs). Follow the instructions correctly after tooth removal (bite cotton firmly for 1hr,dont smoke or alcohol, after 24hrs rinse warm saline water for 1wk, complete the course of antibiotic in time.) Best of luck.

no it doesnt hurt and nothing really will happened. just do what your doctor tells you to do because they will give you with this post operative procedure either verbal or written.
dont be scared, put your trust to your dentist. i tell you this will also help you emotionally.

Depending on whether your going to be having local or general anesthetic....so whether or not you ll be awake or asleep will be the decider. Usually you don't feel much pain when your having them taken out, only a little uncomfortable. But afterwards there might be a little or alot of pain depending on your pain threshold. They do give you pain medication which helps but you probably will be swollen for at least a few days after...good luck!!
