Important question for dentists!!!!!????
the other nite i fell and smacked my tooth on the ground. it stopped hurtin but last nite i looked at it and theres a little crack goin across the bottom of it....... what do i do? wahts goin to happen? what is it? and what are the dentists goin to do???? help???

you cannot feel the crack. you can only see it in certain lighting. it doestnt hurt either. its not cracked to hte point where its seperated. its my front tooth.

It sounds like you have a stress fracture. They are pretty common, I see them all the time in people who have had mouth trauma or had braces and get them when the brackets are removed. Often they do not change and if the area did chip you could probably have a white (composite) filling to cover the area. Just make sure to watch the tooth and make sure that it isn't changing color. If the tooth gets dark it could mean that the nerve was damaged and then you would need a root canal. It probably won't be an issue, but keep your eyes open just in case.
