Did I crack my teeth???!

Question: I was brushing my teeth (one of those batter powered toothbrush) and it slipped inmy hand and the top hit my two front teeth. It hurt for a second and then not anymore. Now im scared that they are cracked and dont want to eat anything. i pushed them with my fingers and they seem fine - and i see like a line across the two teeth but honestly i dont know im paranoid and they were there before or are new. thoughts??

I don't know how old you are, but as we age our teeth craze like fine porcelain. It is very probable that those craze lines were their before you hit your teeth, but you didn't inspect them throughly until the trauma. Teeth are held in place by ligaments, the pain most likely came from the ligament trauma not a fracture. Since you have no loose pieces, eat away. I think you are fine. Remember plaque is sticky, but on the teeth only as lightly as a cobweb is on a wall....you really don't need to apply a lot of pressure to remove it. Take it easy when you brush!

i would go see a dentist.

i don't think one of those toothbrushes will do much damage, but it's a good idea to go see a dentist.

that way you can put your fears to rest.

Call the dentist right away! Almost 2 weeks ago, my tooth really hurt, and I didn't call the dentist until Sunday. It turned out that my molar was cracked, and the crack was so deep, they had to remove it.
Good luck!

maybe cracked, why don't you go to your dentist to get it checked out.
