Wisdom teeth extraction?!

Question:

Wisdom teeth extraction?

Im getting my wisdom teeth out tomorrow, & im reallyyy scared. They're giving me this pill called Triazolam and then when i get in there, they're giving me another one. It's supposed to make me drowsy, and care-free. The part that bothers me the most is that I'm going to be awake, they won't give me an IV, they said it's too risky, but they are giving me novocaine. My teeth are all under my gums, but the doctor said it'll only take about a couple minutes each to get them out because they aren't fully developed. Do i have anything to be scared about, or am i just a big baby? Or.. any experiences with this?

Answers:

you are NOT a big baby...everyone feels the same way..alot of patients worry..the doctor is a professional and does know what he's talking about...he is not just telling you that to make you feel better..its the truth wisdom teeth that arent fully developed ARE easy to remove..you will be in and out quickly..the whole time you are in the chair you will be getting numb and the extraction will take a matter of minutes...i work will and oral sergeon who removes wisdom teeth all the time and tell all the patients the same thing...and with the pills you will be feeling carefree, you are lucky that they are giving you the pills to help your anxitety...feel better:)
