Is Everest college or cdi good school to take dental assistant course?!

Question: A State Education Department-approved course is what you need to take, especially if certification/licensure is available/mandated in your state.

You could always intern/volunteer at a dental office while you're taking the classes; this will give you a 'reality check' as to what really goes on 'behind the scenes'.

Best of luck to you.

I attended Everest and once I began working I found that I had not been taught much at all. The few things that they did cover were either taught incorrectly or taught the old fashioned way, nothing was up to date. I have talked to several other people that attended and they all think pretty much the same. I advise a course offered by a DDS. A lot of DDS offer Saturday courses in their own office and as you get further along they will have patients come in so you can get hands on experience. Also, if you are good, the DDS usually has a friend he can recommend you to for a job. Good luck in your decision!
