What are the views of teeth called on a dental chart? The top, front and inside !

Question:

What are the views of teeth called on a dental chart? The top, front and inside of each tooth?

Answers:

The top or chewing surface of a posterior tooth (molar, premolars) is called: Occlusal. The chewing surface of an anterior tooth (canine, 4 incisors) is called: Incisal.
The front or cheek side of the posterior tooth is called: Buccal or Labial. The anterior tooth front side is called: Facial
The inside of all teeth is called: Lingual or for upper arch it could be called: Palatal, but not usually.
This part is more tricky to explain. The side of the tooth that is closest to the midline or central incisors is called: Mesial. The part farther from the midline is called: Distal.
5 sides to a tooth: Mesial, distal, lingual, facial (buccal) and occlusal (incisal).
