What should I do about my tooth problem?!
Question: The other day my back right bottom molar started hurting around my gums. I took a flashlight and a mirror and took a look in there and behind the last tooth in my mouth is a little pimple type thing. I also notices that just a small part of my last tooth is discolored, but not very big or noticeable unless you really look at it. It's somewhat painful, maybe a 2 out of 10 at its worst, but if I chew something on it, or drink warm liquids and swish it around back there, the pain goes away.
First of all, what could this be? And when I go to the dentist, how much could this cost to get taken care of? I haven't been to the dentist in over a year because I'm uninsured and don't have dental insurance.
Thanks for any answers, I really appreciate it.

Get to a dentist before that abcess gets out of hand and causes alot of pain! By the description I would say it is completely infected...you will need antibiotics and pain meds for a few days before they will be able to extract it.
Extraction about 100.00-150.00. If it can be saved then a Root-Canal, about 600.00 plus the crown, another 600.00.
If you pay cash talk to the dentist about a cash discount.
since its a molar, it might be wisdom tooth. since you say there's a pimple type thing behind it, maybe it's infected, in which case you might wanna see a dentist. if you wait too long, the pain could get worse.
I had that in 2 of my baby teeth. They were both tooth absesses. I had them both extracted. Go to the dentist. The pain only gets worse.
