There are a lot of great over the counter dental rinses for Gingivitis that are located in the toothpaste aisle. Your dentist can also prescribe a rinse called Peridex. I just had my wisdom teeth pulled and he prescribed it for the red gums and infection. The documentation that came from the pharmacy indicates its generally used to treat gingivitis. Good luck.
If you have not done so already, see your dentist about the problem. Follow his/her advice. In the meantime, floss and brush your teeth at least twice a day with a good toothpaste and floss regularly.
Once again, if you have not seen a dentist about this problem yet, I suggest that you do so.

Use Warm Saltwater and mouthwash regularly.
And brush regularly.
DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT FLOSS ALL THE TIME WITH GINGIVITIS.
Floss about once a week.
Just have good oral hygiene next time.
I have gingivitis and extremely sensitive teeth. My gums had dark red streaks running from the bottom of the gums up to my teeth and my gums hurt almost all the time.
