Is there an alternative way to floss without using a dental cord?!
Question: I find it rather irritating and edgy
Answers: I find it rather irritating and edgy
Best alternative is a waterpik. You point the stream of water directly at the tooth, NOT down into the gums, just above the gumline so the water goes across the top of the gumline and makes a suction vacuum that sucks the junk out. Follow the gumline around all teeth. Never use this on high, only low settings. Also, we find many people who rinse with hydrogen peroxide at bedtime but do not floss often have good results. Swish with the hydrogen peroxide, spit, do not rinse/eat/drink, go to bed. It tastes bad though.
I use Proxabrushes to floss. They look like little pipe cleaners. I also use a Waterpik, but these are quite an investment at about $50.
I dislike dental cord (dental floss) as it irritates my gums too.
