Tartar on Tongue?
Hi, I get a lot of tartar on my tongue so I bought a tounge scraper, the stuff that I see on it is pretty yucky. Is it normal to have a lot of tartar on the tongue? I notice there is more if I don't brush after lunch and wait until bedtime.

It isn't possible to build up tartar on your tongue since tartar is hard (calcified) like cement. However, what you are probably seeing is plaque and other debris. It is normal to have this much debris on the tongue since it has a million fissures (wrinkles). It is like a carpet that needs constant vacuuming and yes, you are very normal! Good idea to get the tongue scraper and don't forget to brush at least 2 times a day for 2 minutes with flossing once a day! Hope that helps!
