CONGRATS!! THe best thing to describe the braces coming off is... THEY feel slimy when you brush your tongue against your teeth. WEird I know but you actually MISS The braces in your mouth feeling!! Then you feel so cool and smile all the time and stare in the mirror forever! Be sure to wear your retainer though!! Everything can go back the way it was before if you dont!

it feels weird to shut your mouth e.o like your missing something lolz but u get use to it its liek gettign braces put on it felt weird except it wont hurt i think

It feels like something is missing, like when you close your mouth it's slides on your teeth and they feel wierd lol. CONGRATS!!

smile! :)
ps. wear your retainer..

it feels awesome! you will love your smile and be confident and really smiley. i had them on for almost 4 years so it was such a relief and i felt great.

I had my braces removed only a week ago, and it was FANTASTIC!
This was my experience (yours may be different):
I went in and sat down in chair normally, and I thought they were just popping the elastics off, but the technician was really removing the whole brackets! She then "sanded" (basically) my teeth. At this point, the orthodontist came and did the finishing polish (this part might hurt if you have sensitive gums). If there are any white stains around where the brackets used to be, ask the doctor if he/she can polish them off. My teeth felt great! Then they'll take pictures and x-rays, as well as make a mold for your retainer if it's the clear plastic type. If that's the case, you'll be back in a few hours to put that on. Congrats, and I hope your teeth turn out great!
