Do braces hurt as much as a shot?!
Question: no! shots hurt. I just got my braces today and when they put htem on it definatley dosent hurt! they just glue a bunch of bracents and then put a wire through them. BUt like right now i feel a teeny bit of pushing and im telling you it dosent hurt and im only 16!

Braces hurt much more, especially because you feel it for several days when they tighten them. Shots don't hurt, it's all in your imagination.
They hurt more than a shot the day after they get put on. But the pain gets better every day after that and in about a week you wont even notice them.
The pain of braces lasts for 1 or 2 days when you first get them put on, and every time you get them tightened they hurt for 1 or 2 days. I'd rather get a shot than the pain from braces :P
Braces can't be compared to a shot because they are a different kind of pain. A shot is usually quick and lasts a couple days at the most. Braces is more like a headache... except it lasts a lot longer. It isn't just one area that you can pinpoint and it kind of just aches but you can't really explain how it feels. Personally, I don't think braces are as bad as some people make them out to be... and if you want straight teeth, it's definitely worth a little bit of pain. =]

I dont remember my braces hurting that much. I'd say a shot is worse, but that's only cus I'm afraid of needles.

A shot is a quick sharp pain. Braces are more of a dull achy pain. They are moving your teeth. If you wear something like head gear, they will push in different places. If you hit your mouth you can get cut.
Personally I think shots hurt more but are over quick. Braces are a constant pain in the butt.
right u want the truth soo ill give it to u if your teeth are sensative and ull know if they are the braces may hurt pritty bad for the first couple fo weeks and eating may be uncomfortable. However after this period ur mouth will gt used to it ur speaking become normale and u wont notice them unless u get some food stuck in them. And yes at first they do fill like some one is pushing on ur teeth but very very hard and like i said the felling doesnt go too quickly. If ur teeth arent soo sensative they may nag a while for a few weeks then they become normale u wont totice a thing. :D good luck!
