Veneers in Mexico?!

Question: I heard getting veneers in Mexico is amazingly cheaper than the US. What are the risks and has anyone from the US done this? What was your experience?
If so, where did you go?

Ditto what Kristin said. (two thumbs up) You definitely get what you pay for. And do please remember sterilization procedures are not regulated by OSHA in Mexico.

I worked as a dental hygienist for many years in Texas. I can't even begin to tell you the number of crowns and veneers that we had to replace because they were poorly made by a Mexican lab.

These are your front teeth !! YIKES.....Don't be messing around with Mexican dentistry. The labs are cheap (hence the cheaper price at the dentist) and alot of times the veneers LOOK cheap also.

Most of the crowns/veneers I saw either went too far under the gumline causing inflammation or they fell short of the gumline in which you could see where the veneer stopped and the natural tooth underneath.

I cringe when I think about what I've seen from Mexico.

Just remember there are OSHA standards (sterilization/cleanliness) that we HAVE to oblide by here in the US. Do they in Mexico?
You may need a couple of appointments for adjustments, so make sure you think about the travel costs.
Ask about a warranty too, a dentist in the states would offer one, normally about 5 years of coverage. Veneers do "pop" off and break.
Your insurance, if applicable, may not cover you outside of the US.
Remember what your Mama said "you get what you pay for."
