Braces...What should I expect?!

Question: I got my evaluation from my new orthadontist. He made me smile and said "Yep, I already know...full mouth brakets" and I was like OH GOD. Than he looked in my mouth. Tomorrow while I am at school my mom is making a date for them. I already got the mold and my friends told me that they had an orthadontist and they switched to the one I had less than a year ago and they say the one they have now is terrible. I am so scared and I have a nice lady and my friends have already told me who to get. The blonde. Well I picked the blonde and they screamed at me to get the other blonde who cant speak english because she doesnt make you wear head gear. What should I expect? Will I get headgear? Is it nessesary?

I had braces, and so did a lot of my friends. I didnt hear about any head gear, I think that was only in the old days, unless they like brake your jaw 2 bring it forward or something. Braces dont hurt at all, the only time it does feel a little uncomfortable is when you have it adjusted each month, like the day of, maybe the day after, you just feel it tightening. Its a good thing though, just focus on how hott you'll be once the whole thing is over, you will be so confident when smiling....

Good Luck!!

what you should expect is not being able to eat for two to three days due to your teeth being highly sensitive with moving them.
you wont have headgear unless it has to do with your bite
if your bite is fine then you wont have it.

First stop talking with your friends about this, because they are confusing the he... out of you(& doing a good job on me,
too) Then talk with the orthadontist about all the options!
