How can I cure gingivitis?!
Question: I have really bad gingivitis. Its very painful, and nothing will stop the pain. I am on antibiotics, and taking very high dosages of Motrin. Nothing will stop the pain, any ideas?

It is possible you might have ANUG (acute necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis) also known as trench mouth. It is very painful and you might want to consider having your dentist prescribe a viscous lidocaine gel to help numb the gums. Be careful not to bite your lips and cheeks afterwards though. Rest, no smoking and excellent oral hygiene will also be very helpful
You could try getting a chlorhexadine based mouthwash.
You have to floss! That is THE #1 reason people get gingivitis. Can't believe no one's said it yet!
