Braces hurt?!

Question: I had braces yesterday, and now i'm in alot of pain, i know that your teeth will hurt because the braces stretch your teeth into place but thats not the problem, the problem is on the last bracket of my brace, where the wire ends, ther's a bit poking out, ino this happens when your teeth straighten, but it's only been 2 days they can't have allready, the piece of wire is reall sharp and has cut all the inside of my mouth. is it normal for the piece of wire 2 be there? help?

I just got mine yesterday. It's hurts so bad! My wires don't bother me at all. Ask your doctor to trim the wires. They trimmed mine really short, I can't even feel them. Good luck!

It's not normal - put some wax over it to keep it from poking into your skin and try to get to the Orthodontist so they can trim the wire.

Didn't they give you some wax? My son has braces, and when something is poking him like that, he usually just puts a dollop of wax on it to cover the sharp edge.
But if it's really that bad, I would ask your folks to see if your ortho can squeeze you in.. you may need a bit of a trim on the wires. But like I said, until they can get you in.. slap some wax on it.
Best of luck!
