Bonding or Veneers? I have bonding on one of my front teeth. The bonding is disc!

Question: do I get bonding again or a veneer? I heard I should get both front teeth done if I choose veneers. Can just the front two teeth look okay? I am currently whitening my teeth before I get either the bonding or the veneer done. I thought they would shave my teeth down, thenput on the veneer but my dentist said he will just shave a thin top layer off the top of the tooth.

I just can't make up my mind. Thank you!

Bonding and Veneers are different procedures. Having the face of your anterior (front) teeth bonded is done with a material called composite, which is a plastic material. It is generally porous, it can darken over time and food does stick to it easily. Composites on your front teeth will not have a live like appearance as a veneer would. Composites won't last as long as a cemented veneer. Veneers are stronger and are have a more life like attractive appearance. Both procedures require a thin layer of enamel to be shaved away in order to place either the composite or cement the veneer. You can ask your dentist if you can actually go to the lab for a shade match if you choose the veneers, so they will match the adjacent teeth. The upside to composites are that they more affordable. I am not a dentist, however I do work for one. I found this site below which I thought would be helpful for you.

go back to same guy and showhim. he should redo it. or maybe hes not very good at it?

Veneer is the better choice in the long run, and also much more expensive. They should have no problem matching the color of your teeth.

I don't know but have the same problem. I have two bonds and when I whitened my teeth they stuck out like a sore thumb. So now I can't whiten my teeth. Can't wait to read the answers.
