Oral Thrush, help!?!

Question:

Oral Thrush, help!?

I have had what I think is oral thrush for the past two days. I believe it is thrush because I have white patches on my tongue, my cheeks, and the back of my throat. I also have raised bumps. My roommate has had thrush in the past and is pretty sure that this is what I have.

I do not want to go to the doctor as I don't have insurance and usually use home remedies anyway.

If anyone has had thrush before and has used home remedies please let me know what you used. I'm looking for ones that actually work!

PLEASE do not tell me to just go to the doctor, at this point that really isn't an option.

Thanks!

Posey P: Just because I am looking for home remedies doesn't mean I don't care about my health. I am looking for OTHER people's opinions on home remedies. I already said I don't want to hear about going to the doctor. I am a student who can NOT afford to go at the moment.

Answers:

First I would ask around and find out if there is a free clinic or charity hospital system in your area. What you have might be thrush and it might be something else. Thrush is basically a yeast infection in your oral cavity. Read the package carefully and check with a pharmacist but maybe sucking on a suppository for vaginal yeast infections will work. READ THE WARNINGS FIRST!!!!!!!
