Is there any cons about getting your teeth whitened by the dentist & what ar!

Question:

Is there any cons about getting your teeth whitened by the dentist & what are the different methods?

Answers:

Sensitivity with any whitening treatment. There's laser or tray whitening. I've used the trays from the dentist and it's effective. After initially buying the trays, you just buy the refills. And you get the convenience of doing it at home. But now I use Crest Supreme from my dentist. My trays were chewed up by a dog. =( My friends have done Zoom whitening. One had super sensitivity afterwards. Another didn't. Both had fast results. But if it gets stained again, you'll have to do it. If you do the laser, ask about trays also. You can do the trays at home if you see staining later on. We all use a whiting toothpaste from the dentist or use one from the store to prolong the results. Alot are offering packages. Here in So Ca, I've seen some for $399 specials for Zoom whitening. Both friends paid about $500-$1000, depending on how many treatments and what's in the package too. Ask your dentist which ones they recommend. I had very light staining and she thought trays and the strips were effective for me. Good luck!
