Question: Follow these steps:
1- your gum is part of your body, healthy food and healthy life style will help, bad habits like smoking will affect the health of your gum, vitamins are important, make sure your body is getting plenty of them.
2-Brushing is really important for your gum, it does stimulate circulation in your gum, increases the fibers in it, and makes it more resistant to trauma, and most importantly will remove the plaque the bacteria casing the periodontal disease.
3-Avoid bad oral habits, like putting a pencil in you mouth, tongue and lip piercing can case serious problems to your gum and might case recession.
4-Make sure you see a dentist for check ups on a regular bases, patients who respect their 6 months check ups will pay less for their dental treatment on the long run, and will enjoy healthier mouth for the rest of their life, such check ups are needed for simple cleaning, removing calculus accumulation in areas you couldn't brush, and will detect any dental problem like decay or periodontal disease at very early stage, which will be very easy and cheap to treat at this point.
Hope that helped.

iron and taking your vitamins and drinking PLENTY of water and milk, and flossing and brushing and not having too much soda or sugar. There, that's how your gums stay healthy.. lol.

Floss 1 time a day being sure to do it properly. Brush 2 times a day for at least 2 minutes being sure to do it properly. Taking a multivitamin and plenty of calcium is very important b/c bone loss shows up first in the mouth.

I use all natural Vita C. It's nature's own antibiotic, and one of it's many benefits is gum health - expecially bleeding gums. One tablet = the vitamin C of 7 1/2 oranges.

Hope this is helpful.

Yes you an have healthier gums. Want to know the secret? Brushing and flossing! Brush 2 times a day at least for 2 mins each time. Brush gently. Also FLOSS everyday. Anytime of the day but daily. Flossing and brushing reverse gingivitis. Gingivitis means inflammation of the gingiva/ gums. Gingivitis can lead to bone loss which means you lose teeth. But you can stop gingivitis simply by brushing and flossing. THink of brushing as doing only half the job. You must floss.
