What could cause a dogs mouth to swell?!

Question:

What could cause a dogs mouth to swell?

Answers:

Usually they have bit onto an insect and gotten stung, or eaten something that either irritated their mouth tissue or cut it and caused an infection that the swelling is a visable sign of being there.

Up FAST, insect, up over a couple of days and hot, infection.
It can actually swell so badly they can't breathe, if it's that big get to a vet with the pup.
