Removing ceramic braces?!

Question: I'm beginning to dread the day my braces will be removed. I have ceramic ones on top and metal below. I've had a few repos done on the uppers and it's just nasty. The crunchy snap, the tug, then all the noise from the whiny high pitched sander used to get all the excess glue off. I suspect I'll be there for an hour and I'm tense just thinking about it.

So, what's my question.....oh yeah, how do I go about scoring a Valium for that day? Or what other (legal) drug would help me relax?

I had braces for almost 5 years, so I feel your pain!

Go to your family physician, and simply ask for some Valium, and explain why. :)
If you think s/he will not give it to you, tell him/her INSTEAD that you need them for FLYING (Just say you are flying to Vegas - or wherever - and that flying freaks you out).
My Mom gets them from her Dr. each time she flies.
IF for some reason, that does not work, try one of these things:
- take an air sickness pill (it will make you very drowsy & relax you, too)
OR
- ask your orthodontist for some 'lauging gas' (nitrous oxide), prior.

Also: when I got my braces off, I took one look at myself in the mirror and said "My teeth are ugly!" lol
My orthodontist was annoyed .... lol ..... but I had worn them for 5 long years, and it was so WEIRD to see my 'new' teeth for the first time!
:-)
Good luck, sweetie!
xoxoxo

I have the same layout on your braces that you have!

I'm still wondering how there going to do it.

don't dread it be happy!
the crunch and snap will hurt not a lot but it'll just be a sharp burst of pain, but you can handle it.
Also removing the glue does not hurt at all
