I'm sooo nervous - can Mum stay with me & hold my hand ?

Answers:

I'm getting my wisdom teeth out too (next friday), and yes it will be sore. You should have receieved a dentists notice on what to expect. Also don't eat 8 hours before the operation and you have to go on liquid foods for a week. (unless both of your wisdom teeth are on one side, then you just have to eat on the one side.)

Yes, your mom has to come with you to the dentist office because you won't be able to drive home. As for holding your hand and being in the same room, I dobut it because of insurance and health reasons. They will call her when the surgery is over however, and don't worry, just take plenty of medicine for the soreness! It doesn't hurt during the visit, but afterwards yes. You'll probably have disolvable stiches as well which will fade on their own as opposed to having removable stitches (those are NOT fun). Also, Anesthetic will create a very funny feeling and it will knock you out as quick as they say and then in what feels like a few seconds you'll be woken up and it'll be over.
I've been through this similarly when I had an embedded tooth that they had to chain and yank down, so its a little funny feeling and you'll probably feel a little dizzy and woozy.

Good luck and think of all the ice cream you can have afterwards!
