Gum Graft does not look good?!

Question:

Gum Graft does not look good?

I had graft surgery on 3 tooth about 2 weeks ago.
The gum line on one of my tooth was very low.
The operation was not with laser.
I went back to the doctor about a week after the operation.
Because the graft on 1 of tooth didn't look good.
He said its ok.
Now after 2 weeks that bad graft now has expanded .
I am getting new dead cells conntected to that bad graft spot
This Doctor is a surgen but graft is not his specilaty.he does cavaties and cleaning.
It is saturday now .
Monday I am going for a another opinion with a doctor that knows laser .
Can anyone give me ideas.
Am I panicking for nothing.
But it really seems like something is wrong

Answers:

Well I am concerned to hear that the doctor that did your graft surgery also treats cavities. A periodontist or maybe an oral surgeon are the ones that should be doing this type of procedure and neither one should be treating cavities, but periodontist do do cleanings.

The healing grafts I have observed do look worse before they get better. A trained professional knows what to look for even though the patient might think it looks bad. It would be a good idea to go see a periodontist since a general dentist should not be doing this type of procedure.
