To become a dentist, you'll need to be good in bio, physio and chem, definately good in people skills too. The road is towards a professional degree, so that will take some time. To become a dentist in the US, you'll need to have a bachelor's degree (takes 3-5 years), and then you'll need to go to dental school (3-4 years, depending on which program).

Dental schools aren't the easist things to get into; having at least a 3.3 GPA is going to be required for the lower tier schools, and you'll also need to take an exam called the DAT (Dental Admission Test). For that, averaging around 20 should get you in. You'll also need to pass board exams and licensing exams to actually practice dentistry; just going to d-school doesn't guarantee you become a dentist.

And if you want to specialize to become like an orthodontist (braces), oral surgeon (extractions) or prosthodontist (dentures), you'll need to commit more years (2-6) to schooling.

i know it sounds so daunting since you're so young, but the end result is that you'll have a very respected career and an income averge that will leave you with a very comfortable lifestyle. Dentists are always going to be needed; we don't easily get 'laid off' with recessions or anything, so its a very stable lifestyle as well. Best of luck

its takes at least 6-8 years. The rewards are sweet. But you have to study hard each day and night. Its a lot of stress and pressure. You got to get high marks (in 90s and stuff).

bud this is a huge amount of work. Just make sure you've thought it through before you make your choice. You're gonna wanna take a basic bio course your first year but in college its not especially important as long as u go to med school.

Hard, because the Dentist is still a doctor so it will take at least 8 years.
