Initial healing of the gum will take approx 7-10 days, but full healing of the bone can take up to 3 months, this is why dentures and bridges cannot be replaced untill after this time has passed as the bone heals the gum will change shape.

It really depends on how deep that tooth was, I had a tooth pulled over 1 1/2 years ago and it still not completely filled in. It sucks too because you have to really keep them cleaned out or your breath is ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Good luck and be sure and clean your mouth!

It takes a while to completely heal. It took mine for two years. You need to take care of the holes very well, like the answerer above me said and rinse with a mouth rinse prescribed by your dentist. Good luck!

When I had my wisdom teeth cut out it took almost a year for the holes to heal completely! They stop hurting WAY before that though.

for me it only took about 10 days...Don't smoke it can cause dry socket...and is more painful then the toothache itself
