You could do what I did in the past. I had a problem with a billing error. They refused to listen to me and would not let me talk to the dentist, after all it is his business. I wrote all the information with details and addressed It to the dentist by name. I marked "Personal and Confidential" on the outside of the envelope hoping they would not open his personal mail. He called me and asked what the problem was and how would like to fix it. I did and it was resolved.

Your Orthodontist should be told in a nice way, that the woman is a jerk, you would be doing him a huge favor. He has probably lost business because of her. He needs to know. God bless

That last thing a dentist want is rude staff. if it's a private office, tell the owner dentist, if it's a big company, don't bother, nothing gonna happen.

You definitely shouldn't grab her by the hair and slap her, but you could complain to the manager or your orthodontist, because the last thing they want is a rude staff. Of course if she knows it was you who complained she will be worse, so you could ask to be left anonymous. If nothing comes out of that, you should look at it this way, they have to live with that terrible attitude; and people actually have to work with her 5 days a week, besides you're not there to chat it up with the receptionist, you're there to see the orthodontist

I would tell the dentist or office manager. She has been told and taught better than that. You pay them a lot of money and you deserve to be treated with respect. That would do more than a punch would.....believe me that would be the topic of conversation at the next staff meeting.
