Getting my braces off?!
Question: I'm getting my braces off on Wednesday, what's it like?! :D
wow, I can't even remember what it's like to NOT have them, i've had them for like 3 years. wait, maybe 4. whatever, it's been too long :)

when i got mine taken off, it felt like my teeth were slimy for a while until i got used to it... and also, I felt like my teeth were HUGE at first... like I didnt remember what a normal smile looked like cus mine had been covered with metal for the past 2 years... haha. You're gonna love it! but dont forget to wear your retainers... i figured a couple months after I had my braces removed that i'd be good and my teeth would stay straight... so I quit using my retainers.. and my incisors (I think thats which ones they are... your "fang" teeth...) moved up a little....
so remember to wear your retainers! =)
EDIT: also!! it smelled really bad when they took off the anchoring ones that went around my back teeth! I asked my dr if that was normal, because I take really good care of my teeth as far as brushing and flossing goes... I keep them clean, So i was surprised at how a bad smell could have been lurking under there... he reassured me it was normal..haha
its great! but make sure to wear the retainer or your teeth will get screwed up again very very quickly. when my braces where removed i actually missed the metal in my mouth. strange...i know. good luck! they pop the brackets off your teeth pretty quickly and your done. good times..
Well its gonna feel good and pretty, but ur gonna feel like ur teeth are slimmy, and smooth since u dont have the braces. Its gonna feel weird, but u'll get used to it. Enjoy looking prettier!

O i cant even explain how excited i was to get mine off, its amazing!
You will constantly lick your teeth for a day or two afterwards, lol. Your gums will probably feel really weird and kind of bunched up around where they meet the teeth (this will go away in a few days). It's really a weird sensation... kind of a slippery feeling. :P
When I got my braces off, I couldn't help but notice how much dental glue was still on my teeth. It's been about 8 months since I got them off and now most of the glue's gone.

I can't wait to get off mine too.. Maybe April or May.... It's great to look good huh? But you gonna miss your braces.

Yeah Itll be really cool but wierd and ur teeth will be so smoooth you will keep licking them! Lol But sometimes its good if you bleach your teeth when ur braces are off because they can be yellowish.
one of my besties told me it was definatly not fun but she looks great now!!
