Can you be a Dentist in steps like first dental assistant, dental hygienist and than D.D.S?
ummmm guyzz i really need to know this. ohh and can you guyz tell me how long its going to take. i really need to know this. pleaseeeeeeee

You can go this route if you really want to, but it will take a very long time! At some schools it is possible to combine the dental asssisting and hygiene program (approx. 3 years) and then you could get your undergrad (3-4 years) and go to dental school (another 4 years). If you wanted to specialize in a dental field such as orthodontics then add another 1-2 years to your plan. So rough estimate 10-12 years depending on your schedule and school.
Consider working as an on-the-job trained assistant while going to school to become a dentist.
