My wisdom tooth is still growing and its swelling up..how to help the swellness !

Question:

My wisdom tooth is still growing and its swelling up..how to help the swellness go away?

So yesterday night i got home around 4am and i brush my teeth and everything. The next morning when I work up around 7:30am I notice that my wisdom tooth is swelling up.. on the outside gum and now the side of my bottem cheek looks like I'm chewing bubble gum. Another thing is that it throbbing and hurting. My gum is not red or anything... its just a big swelling .... i dont knot and the weird thing is the swelling is not right next to my wisdom tooth but the one before that so.... did i brush my teeth and somehow scrap the gum part that cause the swellness??..... i really dont knot whats going on but ive been using mouth wash and brushing my teeth but yet its getting even worse. Thats at least what I think.... any advice you guys? thanks

Answers:

Try flossing around that area...and the others of course. Brushing can not get all 5 sides of a tooth clean enough. Maybe you have a popcorn husk down in the tissue. Swelling, bleeding, soreness all happen because something is not staying healthy enough. If your wisdom teeth are coming in, but can't come in all the way, it can make the area swell and then go back down. Rinse with warm salt water, and use anti inflammatory med. for a day. If you haven't had your teeth cleaned and checked in the past 6mo's than get that done.
