What do they do when they put your braces on?!

What do they do when they put your braces on?

I mean like what do they use and what do they do? And do they ask you anything? I am 12 yr old and i am getting braces on August 2nd and i don't wanna be worried about it. So please answer! Thank you!

well here's what they did to me:
They put these cheek stretchers in your mouth so your mouth stays really far open.
They then put a suction tube under your tongue to drain all the spit out and so you don't dribble.
You then get this high power water spray to wash your teeth over,
She then starts painting the glue onto each of your teeth. To check that the glue's dry she uses this laser thing and it's quite hot so it burns your lip if she misses. Then she sticks each of the brackets (square things) onto each tooth. She asks you what colour you want too.
Finally, she threads the wire through and clips the spare wire at each end.
They don't really ask you many things, just tell you to make sure you brush your teeth properly and try to worry you saying that they'll go brown underneath etc etc, but you gta have pretty bad dental hygiene to make them go brown.

oh p.s make sure they don't dislocate your jaw, like they did to me last time. I had this dentist trying to push it back in with his fists in my mouth! Not very pleasant to say the least.
