Bad/metallic taste in mouth after brushing with 'sensitive-type' toothpaste?!

Question:

Bad/metallic taste in mouth after brushing with 'sensitive-type' toothpaste?

Upon dentist's recommendation, began using 'sensitive-type' toothpaste (generic/OTC versionof Sensodyne). I think I can still feel a slightly metallic/foreign taste in my mouth, 6 hours and 2 meals later. Is this normal/common? Do people just get used to it?

Answers:

I've been recommended the same thing by my Dentist and they actually gave me a generic brand to try. I had the same nasty taste in my mouth so I switched right away. I'm now useing the new Sensodyne ProNamel. I like the taste, it leaves my mouth feeling fresh and my teeth look cleaner (at least to me). Good luck with it though!
