Question about a root canal...how much does it really hurt?

To give you an idea of my tolerance, I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed at once and had a shot of novocane and I felt ok. Please no "it'll hurt like hell hah ha" answers...I'm looking for some real info from someone who's had it done. I'm not scared, just want to be prepared. Thanks!

I have been to an orthodentist last week
And to be honest I didn't feel any pain during the intervention and for a while after.
The next day, it was the hell and I feel an extremely strong pain since that time (6 days now). In the meanwhile i saw my family dentist which did the prep for the crown.
I just wonder if the dentist got all the nerves

Anyway i m going tomorrow to see my dentist to check on that.
Stupid me, i wanted to do everything fast as i was going for a conference, this is stupid

I advice anyone that needs to have a root canal done to be sure to have at least 3 weeks without any trip to avoid this strong pain (8 pills of tylenol and the pain is still there)
