i think its the same nothing changes the only difference is that it is cold. it'll still stain cause all the ingredients are still there just cold.

I used to drink black iced tea as a kid, which we made up as needed and kept in the fridge (not bought as in cans nowadays), and it would give me more staining than hot tea with milk. Never really drank hot black tea, so can't give you a comparison about that.
I think it is the presence of milk that diminishes the chances of staining rather than the temperature, and this would probably apply to coffee too..
