I am getting braces soon and i was wondering...?!
Question: i was wondering what a water pik is and i am worried about the molds i have to get done in a few days. can some one clue me in on the procedures that happen BEFORE you get your braces put on? thank you so much. hopfully this will calm my nerves.

To put in the mold, you will have to yank open your mouth to its widest limit, and they put this jelly-like stuff in your mouth with this steel thingy which you have to sink your teeth into (the jelly, not the steel). Its taste is not very appealing, and when it comes off your teeth ache for about 10 seconds, and a tad bit after you rinse off.
Not everyone requires seperators, which are these rubber/plastic loop things they use to seperate teeth a bit for about one or two weeks, before they put on your braces. You may not need this though. It only hurts for about a day and one night, and maximum two days for normal people, so you shouldn't worry about this at all.
Good Luck. Braces will help you get a healthy smile. Think, after a year, you'll have the most beautiful smile ever and everyone else will be like "Hahh!!?? *jealous*" hahaha. So bide your time, cuz YOUR time will come =)
a water pik is like a garden hose but smaller it presureizes water and you use it to wash teeth , molds are just like gum they put in til it sets up . the only thing that bothers you before braces is the spacers they feel like you have a bolder in between teeth. none of it is bad at all
a water pik is a machine that burst water at a fast rate to get stuff off your teeth. this would be an awesome investment to have while wearing braces.
the molds will not hurt but might taste yucky and it's kinda mushy stuff that after they take it out of your mouth hardens for them so they can see an outline of your mouth.
my daughter got braces but i never watched to see the procedures.
