Is flouride really a poison? If so then why do we consume it?!
Question: our body needs fluoride for normal teeth enamel formation
the main source of fluoride is drinking water as tap or bottle water has 0.8% fluoride (as a trace element and it's the optimum percentage) so our body needs fluoride but only very very very small quantity
as the over intake of fluoride (drinking water with fluoride concentration more than 0.8%) is toxic and lead to a condition known as hyperfluorosis(generally speaking it's malformation of teeth enamel and bones)

if taken in huge quantity. and you do not consume flouride, like in toothpaste, after brushing and gargling you spit it out and not drink it.
fluride is deadly poison, on or 2 tubes of toothpaste would kill the average human , the argument is that fluride hardens the teeth and makes them more resistant to cavities , there is no clear cut answer to if it realy helps , or rather is worth it or not .. hope this helps friend. (edit -> ) in recent studies of fluride in the water i have heard of an increased risk of cavaties among other health problems , but i don't have enough information to say much on that ..
it is not a poison only if you consume too much
If you are taking in large amounts then yes.
You dont drink flouride.
